From its inception, Brookgreen had a three-pronged purpose: first, to collect, exhibit, and preserve American figurative sculpture; second, to collect, exhibit, and preserve the plants of the Southeast; and third, to collect, exhibit, and preserve the animals of the Southeast. Collecting and exhibiting, it became the first public sculpture garden in America. Today it is the finest outdoor museum of its type in the world.

Myrtle Beach is one of the top golf destinations in the world there are over 80 Golf Courses within short drives of Myrtle Beach
Along with being a Golf Destination Myrtle Beach is considered the Mini Golf Capital of the world by some, and one thing I will mention as some people will be happy to know some of these courses sell beer and seltzers.
Helpful Hints
1. Broadway at the Beach and Barefoot landing allows you to walk around the properties with an open container
2. If you are planning to go to Brunch or Breakfast on a Sunday at an off site location make a reservation or get on waitlist and definitely call first as the waits can be extremely long
3. If you are from out of state and not familiar with liquor laws here you can only by distlled spirits from a store between 9am-7pm Mon-Sat Closed Sundays Beer and Wine is available to purchase at all times so you might need to put your favorite bottle in your checked luggage
4. Double Red Flags at beach mean no swimming
5. No Umbrellas larger than 7 feet (be aware of strong winds as injury from umbrellas is a thing )
6. No Bottles or glass allowed on the beach technically no alcohol but you will see a lot of red solo cups
7. No dogs allowed on beach (except service dogs ) between 10am and 5pm May 1 thru Labor Day that goes for the boardwalk as well
8. When someone says let's go to the marshwalk they probably are not intending on going for a walk except from bar to bar
9. Though we have many fireworks stores they are illegal to shoot off on the beach.
10. Some places stay open past 2am where they can still sell beer and wine
